Privacy policy
Plain English, no wall of legalese. What greengoose.org collects, why, who else gets it, and how to opt out.

← Back to the main pageThe short version
- If you fill out our form, we get what you typed and use it to get back to you. We don't sell it, put you on a newsletter, or start a drip campaign.
- We use Meta's (Facebook's) pixel and its Conversions API so we can tell whether our own ads bring in real inquiries. That means Meta learns about your visit, and if you send the form, Meta gets your email, phone, and name in scrambled (hashed) form.
- You can opt out. See How to opt out.
Who we are
Green Goose LLC is a Texas limited liability company based in Dallas–Fort Worth. We run Facebook and Instagram ads for local businesses. Questions about this page or about your information go to [email protected], which reaches all three of us.
What you give us
- The "see if we're a fit" form on our home page: your business name, type of business, the city or area you serve, how you get customers now, your answer about ad budget, your name, phone, and email. If you used the payback calculator first, the numbers you entered there come along with the form.
- The client onboarding form, which is only for businesses that have already signed with us: business details, prices, service area, contact info, and anything else you choose to tell us.
- Emails you send us.
We use this to reply to you, figure out whether we can help, and (if you become a client) do the work.
What gets recorded automatically
- When you send a form, our server also records the time, the country your connection comes from (worked out from your IP address), your browser type, and the page you sent it from.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, handles your IP address and basic request details to serve and protect the site, the same way it does for any site it hosts.
- We don't run Google Analytics, heatmaps, chat widgets, or any other tracking on this site. The only third-party tracking is Meta's, described next.
Meta pixel and Conversions API
The pixel. Our pages load a small piece of code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It tells Meta a browser viewed the page, and on the "Got it" page after you send the form, that an inquiry came in. It sets two cookies on greengoose.org:
_fbp: a random ID for your browser, so Meta can recognize repeat visits. Lasts about 90 days._fbc: set only if you arrived by clicking a Facebook or Instagram ad. It holds that click's ID. Lasts about 90 days.
Like any website request, the pixel also sends Meta your IP address and browser details. If you're logged in to Facebook or Instagram in the same browser, Meta can connect the visit to your account.
The Conversions API. When you send the "see if we're a fit" form, our server also sends Meta a short "Lead" notice directly. It contains:
- your email, phone number, and first and last name, each hashed. Our server runs them through a one-way scramble (SHA-256) first, so the plain text never goes to Meta;
- your IP address and browser type;
- the
_fbp/_fbccookie values, if you have them; - the page address and the time.
It does not include your business details, your answers to the form questions, or anything you typed into the calculator. Meta's pixel in your browser may also send hashed versions of the same contact details when you submit.
What hashing does and doesn't do. Hashing isn't anonymity. Meta can match a hashed email or phone number to a Facebook or Instagram account that uses the same one. That's the point: it lets Meta tell us "this ad led to an inquiry" without us handing over your details in readable form.
Why we do it. To see whether our own ads bring in real inquiries so we stop paying for the ones that don't, and so Meta shows our ads to people more likely to be interested. We may also show our ads to people who have visited this site. What Meta does with this information is covered by Meta's privacy policy.
How to opt out
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our pages won't load Meta's pixel and our server won't send Meta anything about your form. Your form still reaches us normally. Some browsers send this signal by default (Brave and DuckDuckGo, for example), and Firefox has a setting for it.
- Your browser. Blocking or clearing cookies, private browsing, or a tracker blocker will stop or limit the pixel.
- Your Meta account. In Facebook or Instagram, go to Accounts Center, then "Your information and permissions", then "Your activity off Meta technologies". There you can see activity that businesses like us send to Meta and disconnect it. Ad preferences in Accounts Center control the ads you see.
- Ask us. Email [email protected]. We can't pull back what Meta already received (use the Meta settings above for that), but we'll delete our own copy of your details.
We don't act on the older "Do Not Track" browser setting. Use Global Privacy Control instead; we honor that one.
Who else sees your information
- Cloudflare hosts this site and stores form submissions in our account.
- Resend delivers the email alert with your form details to our inbox.
- Google Workspace runs our team email, where those alerts and your emails land.
- Meta, as described above.
We don't sell or rent your details, and nobody besides the companies above gets them, unless the law requires us to share something. Some state privacy laws count sending data to an ad platform like Meta as "sharing." If that matters to you, the opt-outs above stop it.
How long we keep it
Form submissions stay in our Cloudflare storage and our inbox. We don't have an automatic deletion schedule yet, so they stay until we delete them. If you want yours deleted, email us and we will. The pixel cookies expire on their own after about 90 days, or sooner if you clear them.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll take care of it and confirm by email.
Security
Forms are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in our Cloudflare account, and only the Green Goose team can access it. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't put anything in the form you wouldn't put in an email.
Kids
This site is for business owners. It isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change what we collect or who gets it, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
